Hi ,

Total questions = 15

number of correctly

answered questions be ' 5 ',

then number of wrongly answer

questions = 15 - 5 = 10

It is given that for every correct

answer 4 marks are awarded .

Number of marks scored correct

answers 5 × 4 = 20

And it is given that for every wrongly

answered questions ( -2 ) marks is

deducted.

Number marks to be deducted from

the score = 10 × ( -2 ) = -20

Total score = 20 - 20

= 0

Therefore ,

Total score of Hema = 0

I hope this helps you.

As Hema has answered only 5 questions, she has answered ( total number of questions - 5 ) wrong questions.

Total number of wrong answers given by Hema = 15 - 5

Total number of wrong answers given by Hema = 10

So,

Total number of questions : 15

Total number of correct answers given by Hema : 5

Total number of wrong answers given by Hema : 10

Marks for each correct answer : 4

Marks deducting for each wrong answer : - 2

Total number of marks scored by Hema on answering 5 questions ( correct ) : 5 × 4 = 20

Total number of marks deducted on answering 10 questions ( wrong ) : 10 × ( - 2 ) = - 20

Total marks = marks obtained + marks deducted

Total marks = 20 - 20

Total marks = 0

Therefore, total marks obtained by Hema is 0.
