Given that:

  • In a class test of maths Ravi got 6 marks out of 10.
  • In another class test of maths Ravi got 13 marks out of 25.
  • And in another final test of maths Ravi got 75 marks out of 100.

To Find:

  • In which exam of maths Ravi performed the best?

Concept:

  • For finding in In which exam of maths Ravi performed the best, we have to find the percentage of his marks in every exam and then in which exam his percentage is highest is the exam he performed best.

We know that:

  • Percentage = (Marks obtained × 100) / Total marks %

In first class test:

We have,

  • Marks obtained = 6
  • Total marks = 10

↠ Percentage = (6 × 100)/10 %

↠ Percentage = 600/10 %

↠ Percentage = 60 %

In second class test:

We have,

  • Marks obtained = 13
  • Total marks = 25

↠ Percentage = (13 × 100)/25 %

↠ Percentage = 1300/25 %

↠ Percentage = 52 %

In final class test:

We have,

  • Marks obtained = 75
  • Total marks = 100

↠ Percentage = (75 × 100)/100 %

↠ Percentage = 7500/100 %

↠ Percentage = 75 %

We get,

  • 60% > 52 %
  • 75 % > 52 %
  • 75 % > 60 %
  • 75 % > 60 % > 52 %

i.e., Final class test > First class test > Second class test

Hence,

  • In final exam of maths Ravi performed the best.
