let the number of girls be 2x

let the number of boys be 2x

strength of the class=63

2x+2x=63

4x=63

x=63/4=15.75

x=15.75

2x=2×15.75=31.5 (of girls)

2x=2×15.75=31.5 (of boys)

check

31.5+31.5=63
