In a cricket match, a bats woman hits a boundary 6 times out of 30 balls she plays. Find the probability that she did not hit a boundary.

RamCharan11: probability=no.of favourable outcomes/total no.of outcomes
RamCharan11: then probability of not the boundary=24/30 or 8/10 or 4/5
rv24: p(hitting a boundry)= 6/30 = 1/5 so, p(not hitting boundry) = 1 - p( hitting a boundry) = 1 - 1/5 = 4/5

she didn't hit the boundary=30-6=24
probability=24/30
=8/10
=4/5
therefore is 4/5
Hope it helps you

Given Number of balls played = 30.

Given the number of times, the woman hits the boundary = 6.

Number of times she didn't hit the boundary = 30 - 6

                                                                            = 24.

Required probability = 24/30

                                   = 4/5.

Hope this helps!
