Total balls = 30

Hits boundary = 5

Did not hit boundary = 30-5

=25.

P[not hit boundary]

=n[did not hit the boundary]/30

=25/30

=5/6

Given - Number of balls and boundary hits

Find - Probability of not hitting a boundary

Solution - The probability of not hitting a boundary is 0.8.

The probability of not hitting a boundary will be = 30 - 5

The probability of not hitting a boundary will be = 25

The probability can be calculated by the formula- number of favourable outcomes/total number of outcomes.

Number of favourable outcomes = 25

Total number of outcomes = 30

Keep the values in the formula to find the value of probability.

Probability = 25/30

Probability = 0.8

Thus, the probability of not hitting a boundary is 0.8.
