number of balls = 30

number of times boundary hit = 6

probability of boundaries = 6 / 30 = 1/5

there fore probability of boundaries not hit = 5/5 - 1/5 = 4/5

Given :

  • Total Balls is 30 .
  • She hits the boundary 6 times .

To Find :

  • Probability that she didi not hit a boundary .

Solution :

\longmapsto\tt{Total\:Balls=30}

\longmapsto\tt{Hits\:a\:boundary=6\:times}

\longmapsto\tt{She\:did\:not\:hit=30-6}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{24\:times}

Now ,

\longmapsto\tt{Probability=\frac{No.\:of\:Fav.\:Outcomes}{Total\:No.\:of\:Outcomes}}

\longmapsto\tt{\cancel\dfrac{24}{30}}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{\dfrac{4}{5}}

So , The Probability that she did not hit the boundary is 4/5 ...
