Let the total number of audiences = x.

Given that (3/7) of total audiences were at covered place = (3x/7).

Then, audiences in open place = x - (3x/7) = 4x/7.

Given that 18000 were in open place.

= > (4x/7) = 18000

= > 4x = 126000

= > x = 31500.

Therefore, the total number of audiences = 31500.

Hope it helps!
