In a cricket match,Rajat scored thrice as many run as devansh. Together they fell short of 8 runs of a triple century.Find the scores. ​

If Devansh scored x runs then

Rajat scored 3x runs.

Altogether they scored 292 runs (8 short of 300)

→ 3x + x = 292

→ 4x = 292

→ x = 292/4

→ x = 73

Therefore

Devansh's score = 73 runs

Rajat's score = 3 × 73 = 219 runs
