say trivesh scored x.

∴ rajat scored 3x.

according to the ques-

3x+x= 300-8

4x=292

x=292÷4=73

∴ Trivesh scored 73 runs.

∴ Rajat scored, 73×3=219 runs.

Verification-

(Rajat+Trivesh) runs= 300-8

(219+73) runs=300-8

292 runs= 292 runs

∴ the sum is correct.

Runs rajat scored is 219 while trivesh scored 73 runs.

Answer:

The score of Rajat is equal to 73 runs and the score of Tivesh is equal to 219 runs.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given, in a cricket match the score of Rajat is thrice score of Tivesh.

Consider that, score of Rajat = x

Then, the score of Tivesh will be = 3x

According to the question, the sum of the score of Rajat and Tivesh is 8 runs less than a triple century.

We know that the one century is equal to 100 runs.

x + 3x = 300  -8

4x = 292

x = 73

Therefore, the score of Rajat = 73

The score of Tivesh = 3\times 73=219

Therefore, Rajat scored 73 runs and Tivesh scored 219 runs
