Answer: It's a case of incomplete dominance because Gene alleles that are responsible for the flower color can only be dominant, recessive or show an incomplete dominance. Both genes don't combine together to give a blended characteristic.

Explanation: When gene alleles, or two varying forms of the same gene are inherited from a parent, such as the one for flower color, one allele is red and one is white. The alleles could be dominant, one dominant and one recessive or like in the case above, one that is dominant doesn't express all of its dominance over the other allele.
