CSA of cylinder= 2πrh

new csa = 2*π*2r*1/2h

=2πrh

Let the Original Radius be r, and Height be h of the Cylinder.

  • New Radius = 2 × r = 2r
  • New Height = h /2

CSA of the Cylinder :

⇒ 2πrh

⇒ 2 × π × 2r × h /2

⇒ π × 2r × h

2πrh

There will be No Change in CSA.
