Given : In a cylinder, if radius is halved and height is doubled.

Let the radius of the cylinder be  r and the height of the cylinder be h.

So, Volume of cylinder = πr²h

Now , new radius = 1/2r

and new radius = 2h

Then ,

New Volume = π × (½ r)² × 2h

New Volume = π × ¼ r² × 2h

New Volume = ½ (πr²h)

Hence, the volume will be halved.
