In a cylinder ;
Radius = r
height = h

Volume = V = πr^2h

Now ,
New Radius = r' = r/2
New height = h' = 2h

New Volume = V'
V' = πr'^2h'
= π×(r/2)^2×(2h)
= πr^2h × 2/4
V' = 1/2 × πr^2h

V' = 1/2 V

Hence the new Volume will he halved
