Solution:-

a.) Total number of cards in a deck = 52

Number of black cards in a deck = 13 × 2 = 26

Probability = number of favourable outcomes / total number of outcomes

Probability of getting a black card = number of black cards / total number of cards

= 26/52

= 1/2

Therefore, the probability of getting a black card is 1/2.

b.) Total number of cards in a deck = 52

Number of red cards in a deck = 13 × 2 = 26

Probability = number of favourable outcomes / total number of outcomes

Probability of getting a red card = number of red cards / total number of cards

= 26/52

= 1/2

Therefore, the probability of getting a red card is 1/2.

c.) Total number of cards in a deck = 52

Number of face cards in a deck = 3 × 4 = 12

Probability = number of favourable outcomes / total number of outcomes

Probability of getting a black card = number of face cards / total number of cards

= 12/52

= 3/13

Therefore, the probability of getting a face card is 3/13.
