Given:-

  • The divisor is 5 times the quotient and twice the remainder. The remainder is 5.

To Find:-

  • The number.

Solution:-

According to the question

→ Dividend = Divisor × Quotient + Remainder

→ Remainder = 5

Then,

→ Divisor = 2 × 5

→ Divisor = 10

Now,

→ 10 = 5 quotient

→ quotient = 2

After that,

→ Dividend = Divisor × Quotient + Remainder

→ Number = 10 × 2 + 5

→ Number = 20 + 5

Number = 25

Therefore,

  • Divisor = 10

Hence,

  • the number is 25.

Given :

In a division sum, the divisor is 5 times the quotient and twice the remainder. If the remainder is 5

To Find:

what is the number?

Solution:

Finding the divisor:

we know that Dividend = Divisor * Quotient + Remainder.

The remainder is given as 5.

the divisor is twice the remainder, so 2x5 = 10

Hence, the divisor is 10.

Finding the quotient:

It is given that the divisor is 5 times the quotient.

divisor = 5quotient

10 = 5quotient

quotient = 10/5

quotient = 2

Now, Finding the number:.

Dividend = Divisor x Quotient + Remainder

=> Number = 10 * 2  +  5

=> Number = 20 + 5

=> Number = 25

Hence, The number is 25
