if 14 percent failed then remaining 86% passed. you know the number of students who passed, that is 559, so find the total number of students present, that is 100%.
so 100% students will be= 100/86 multiply by 559
answer would be 650 students. all the students were 650.
650-559 = 91 students who failed
also you can make it simple by directly putting 14/86 multiply by 559. the answer would be same as 91. this is the shortest possible method
