in a examination 5 marks awarded for every correct answer and 3 marks deducted for every wrong answer .Atul scored 35 marks when 10 of his answer were correct. Sudhod answered 8 question correctly and his score was 19 .Find the number of question answered wrongly by both of them?​

Atul scored 35 marks; 10 of his answers were correct.

Subodh scored 19 marks; 8 of his answers were correct.

So,

Atul: 10 of his answers were correct. This means: 10*5=50 marks. 15 marks were deducted. -3 were deducted for each wrong answer. So questions answered by Atul incorrectly is= 15/3= 5.

Therefore, we can say 5 questions were answered by Atul wrongly.

Subodh: 8 of his answers were correct. This means: 8*5= 40 marks.He got 19 marks. This means, 40-19= 21 marks were lost by him. As, -3 marks were deducted for each wrong answer. This means, Questions answered by Subodh incorrectly= 21/3= 7.

Therefore, we can say that 7 questions were answered by Subodh wrongly.
