Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

As the salary of each worker is increased in the ratio 4:5 , it means that old salary was 4 and the new salary is 5

The no of workers decreased by 81% = 81/100

Here 100 will be the total no of workers and it is decrease by 81 meaning that new value will be 100 - 81 = 19

So 100 is the old value and 19 is the new value

                 Old         New

Salary       4             5

Worker     100           19

For net salary,

Multiplying salary for each worker with no of workers we get

old = 4*100 = 400

new = 5*19 = 95

Net effect on salary  = (New - Old)*100 / Old

                                  = (95 - 400)*100/400 = -30500/400 = 76.25% decrease in the salary
