father took 1/4 of the cake

so father take = x / 4

so each member take = x / 12

let other members are m

so total cake will be ,

x/4 + mx /12 = x

x ( 1/4 +m/12) = x

1 /4 + m / 12 = 1

4m + 12 = 48

4m = 36

m = 9

so other members are 9

and total members including father are 10
