Using triangle sum property in △BDC, ∠DBC=90−x°

Also ∠ABD=x°

Using triangle sum property in △ADB, ∠BAD=90−x°

△BDC∼△ADB

Hence

BD÷CD=AD÷BD

Hence CD = 16 cm
