In a figure,the parallel lines l and m are cut by a transversal n. If angle 1 and angle 2 are (5x-10)degree and (3x+60)degree respectively,then find the measures of angle 1 and angle 2.

1)If angle 1 and 2are corresponding angles
Then they are equal
5x-10=3x+60
5x-3x=60+10
2x=70
x=70/2
x=35
Therefore
One angle=5x-10=5*35-10=175-10=165
Then angle 2 is also 165 degrees
2) if these two angles are linear pair or interior angles of same side of the the transversal
Sum of it is supplementary
Therefore
<1+<2=180
5x-10+3x+60=180
8x+50=18£
8x=180-50
8x=130
x=130/8
Then they are equal
5x-10=3x+60
5x-3x=60+10
2x=70
x=70/2
x=35
Therefore
One angle=5x-10=5*35-10=175-10=165
