Given :   In a flat race, the runners up, running at 10/3 m/s lost by 3 secs to the winner.   the runners up took 15 secs to cover the distance,

To Find  :  the speed of the winner

Solution:

runner  up tool  15 secs

Speed  = 10/3 m/s

Distance = speed * time

= (10/3) * 15

= 50 m

Race = 50 m

winner completed race in 15 -3  = 12 secs

Speed of winner = 50/12   = 25/6  m/s
