In a flower bouquet, 13/30 of the flowers were Roses, 2/5 of the flowers were orchids and the remaining were gladiola. if the number of gladiola flowers were 7, how many flowers were there in the bouquet?

13÷30+2÷5+7=7.83333333

let the number of flowers be x 

number of roses in the bouquet is = 13/30 of x

                                                    = 13 x /30

number of orchids = 2/5 of x

                              = 2 x /5

number of gladiola = 7 

we can say that ,

13x /30 + 2 x /5 + 7 = x

13x + 12 x + 210 = 30x

25 x +210 = 30x 

210 = 30 x -25x

210/5 = x 

x = 42 

ans => there are 42  flowers in the bouquet
