Why tongste is used in bulb fillament

tongste consists of high melting point , low vapour pressure and high tensile strength ... out of all metals ...due to its genius properties it is used in bulb fikament

hey there,

tungsten is an alloy. alloys do not oxidise easily as compared to metals. tungsten is a good conductor of heat and electricity. it has the highest melting point which is 3695 K. it also has high resistivity.
