Mean=(sigma fi)/sigma fixi
Mean=100/110=10/11
Mean ≈0.909

Given,

sigma fi = 100

sigma fixi = 110

To Find,

Mean of the distribution=?

Solution,

We know from the formula of mean that

Mean =   Σf_ix_i/f_i

Putting values given in the question,

Mean =   Σ sigma fixi / sigma fi

Mean =  110/ 100

Mean = 11/10

Mean = 1.1

Hence, In a frequency distribution, if sigma fi = 100 and sigma fixi = 110, then the mean of the distribution is 1.1
