In a game tug of war ,two team A and B competed .Team B won the match. the work done by the applied force is negative for which team? Give reason.

For Team A it is negative. This is because when the force applied is more on one side the opposite side's force gradually decreases thus changing from positive to negative. Therefore it must be Team A since they lost the match due to more force that was applied by Team B.

in this case team B is doing positive work as the force applied by team b is in the direction of displacement. Similarly, team a is doing -ve work because theis force is acting opposite to the direction of displacement
