Number of mango trees in the garden is  (3)753.

  • In a garden, 75%of the trees are mango trees, while rest 25% are apple trees.
  • The number of apple trees is 251.
  • We have to find the number of mango trees in the garden.
  • We have to find the number of mango trees in the garden.
  • We assume the total number of trees in the garden to be x.
  • Now we find the total number of trees in the garden using the number of apples.

Percentage of apples = \frac{Number \ of \ apple \ trees}{Total \ number \ of \ trees} × 100

25 = \frac{251}{x} × 100

x = 251 × 4 = 1004

  • Total number of trees in the garden is 1004
  • Now we calculate number of mango trees in the garden by subtracting number of apple trees from total number of trees.

Number of mango trees = Total number of trees - Number of apple trees = 1004 - 251 = 753

  • Number of mango trees in the garden is 753.
