In a garden ,there are 10 rows and each row contains 12 mango trees .The distance between the two trees is 2 meters and a distance of one meter is left from all sides of the boundary of the garden .what would be the length of the garden ?explain

Let A , B , C , D ,E ,F , G , H , I , J represent rows. 1m 1m 1m A 2m B 2m C 2m D 2m E 2m F 2m G 2m H 2m I 2m J 1m Use similar argument to find length vertically . so horizontally : ( 10 - 1 ) 2 + 1 + 1 = 20m vertically : ( 12 - 1 ) 2 + 1 + 1 = 28m So : 28m * 20m

So according to the given data , by adding the distances between the trees(2) and the distance of the 2trees on the side from the boundry (1) ,the length may be 24m but it is given the perimeter of the trees..........
