Given :  In a group of 80 employees, the number of employees who are engineers is twice that of the employees who are MBAs.

To find : How many employees are neither engineer  nor MBA

Solution:

Total Employee = 80

Let say MBA  = M

Engineer  = 2M

The number of employees who are not engineers is 32

=> 80 - 2M  = 32

=> 2M = 48

=> M = 24

Total  = 80

MBA = 24

Engineer = 48

Let say employees who are both engineers and MBAs  =  B

Both  =   2(MBA - Both)

=>  B  = 2(24 - B)

=> B = 48 - 2B

=> 3B = 48

=> B = 16

=> 16 employee are MBA & engineer Both

Total = MBA + Engineer - Both  + None

=> 80 = 24  + 48  -  16  + None

=> None = 24

=> 24 are neither engineer  nor MBA

24 are neither engineer  nor MBA
