Initial number of students= 100

Initial provision for 130 days

After 10 days remaining provision would last for 130-10= 120 days for 100 students

But number of remaining students is= 100-20= 80

Let remaining provision will last for X days for the remaining students

Represented as:-

Number of students= 100  80

Number of days      =  120  X

As the number of days will decrease if number of students increase (inverse variation)

Therefore, 100×120= 8×X

Or X= 12000/80= 150 days

Therefore the remaining provision will last for 150 days.
