In a house three lamps of 100 W, 60 W and 40 W are kept on for 25 hours. How many units of energy will be consumed ? pls answer with explanation i will put 5 stars.

Simply add together the wattage of the three lamps.

Total power=100w + 60w + 40w = 200 watts

And we know that Watts is the equivalent of Joules/second

Total power= 200 Joules/second

If the three bulbs are continuously turned on for 25 hours(90,000 seconds), they will consume a total energy(Joules) of:

Total energy= 200 Joules/second × 90,000 seconds

Total energy= 18,000,000 Joules(18 MJ)
