The correct answer of this question is 200 sec (Option A)

This is a simple question, where we have to find the time taken by A to beat B.

First, we will consider the given data.

Given,

Distance = 1 KM

50 meters = 10 seconds

1 KM = 1000 meters

1m= 10/50

So, we have to now find the Time for 1000 m.

               => 1 m= 10/50

               => 1/5 sec

Now,

Time for 1000 m = 1000×1/5

                           =200 sec

Explanation:

In this question, A has beat B by 50 Meters which is also 10 seconds. It means, A won the race by 50 meters or 10 seconds. So, we have to find the total time taken by A.

So, We first convert KM into meters. Then, we find the time of 1000 m.

We get = 1/5.

Now, we multiply 1000 by 1/5.

We get 200 seconds.

Therefore, 200 seconds is the time taken by A to beat in Kilometer race.
