Step-by-step explanation:

Given Problem:-

in a library 20% Buxar in English 50% and in Kannada and the remaining 600 and in other languages what is the total number of books

Solution:-

Let the total number of the books in the library =X

Number of Buxar books in English =20%of total books

=>20% of X

=>(20/100)×X

=>X/5

Number of Buxar books in kannada=50% of total books

=>50% of X

=>(50/100)×X

=>X/2

Total number of Buxar books in both in English and in Kannada

=>(X/5)+(X/2)

LCM of 5,2 =10

=>(2X+5X)/10

=>7X/2

Remaining books =X-(7X/10)

=>(10X-7X)/10

=>3X/10

According to the given problem

Remaining books =600

=>3X/10=600

=>3X=600×10

=>3X=6000

=>X=6000/3

=>X=2000

Answer:-

Total number of books in the library=2000
