Total number of books = 990

Let the number of Science books = x

Then the number of Mathematics books = 2x

Number of English books = 4*2x = 8x

Total number of books = x + 2x + 8x = 11x = 990

x = 990/11 = 90

So, number of Science books = x = 90

Number of Mathematics books = 2x = 2*90 = 180

Number of English books = 8x = 8*90 = 720
