The athlete has covered 10.6m but any specific direction is not given It is the distance because direction is not given

It can be displacement as well as distance because most of the paths in which athletes run for long jump are straight in direction so it can be displacement in this case but if the path is not straight or the atheletes run in zig zag motion then it is distance.

good one ..but at the moment of jumping there is no way one could fly zig zag..
if the athlete runs in zig-zag motion not fly. I have not written fly.
