In a lottery of 25 tickets numbered 1 to 25 , one ticket is drawn . Find the probability that the drawn ticket bears on even number?​

There’s 25 tickets - 13 of them have odd numbers, and 12 of them have even numbers.

If you draw an even number first, it does not matter what number you pull second - the product of the 2 will always be even. The probability of this total event is 12/25 * 24/24 (odds of even number * odds of any card after) = 12/25.

If you draw an odd number first, only drawing an even number second would result in an even product. So the probability here is 13/25 * 12/24 (odds off odd number * odds of even number after) = 13/50.

So the probability that you have an even product from drawing 2 tickets is 12/25 + 13/50 = 37/50, or 74%.
