in a meter bridge ( say l=100 cm, null point=40cm)and the null point shifts to right ..will the resistance increase or decrease?

p/q=l/100-l

where p and q are the resistances in the left and right gap respectively.

NuLL POINT IS THE BALANCING POINT WHERE BOTH ARE BALANCED .

They are fixed for particular values of resistances .
