Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Quantity of mixture = 13 liters

Ratio of milk and water = 3:2

So, Quantity of milk in mixture is given by

\dfrac{3}{5}\times 13=\dfrac{39}{5}53×13=539

Quantity of water in mixture is given by

\dfrac{2}{5}\times 13=\dfrac{26}{5}52×13=526

Quantity of mixture is taken out = 3 liters

Quantity of milk is taken out is given by

\dfrac{3}{5}\times 3=\dfrac{9}{5}53×3=59

Quantity of water is taken out is given by

\dfrac{2}{5}\times 3=\dfrac{6}{5}52×3=56

Quantity of milk is replaced = 3 liters

So, Ratio of milk and water is given by

\begin{gathered}\dfrac{39}{5}-\dfrac{9}{5}+3:\dfrac{26}{5}-\dfrac{6}{5}\\\\=\dfrac{30}{5}+3:\dfrac{20}{5}\\\\=9:4\end{gathered}539−59+3:526−56=530+3:520=9:4

Hence, the ratio of milk and water in the newly formed mixture is 9:4.
