Answer:

60 litres

Explanation:

Let the ratio be x.

Which is, amount of water added will be x, and the amount of acid will be 2x

That is, sum of the quantities of acid and water will be equal to 90 litres(since total amount is 90 litres)

That is, x + 2x = 90

That is, 3x = 90

So, x = 90/3=30

Therefore amount of water added will be 1*30 = 30 litres

Amount of acid will be 2*30 = 60 litres

Now, if we want ratio to be 1:2, amount of water added will be 2*30 = 60 litres

and amount of acid will be 1*30 = 30 litres.

Hope it helped you :)!

Answer:

acid:water = 2:1

acid+water = 90 liters

=》acid = 60 liters and water = 30 liters

Now,

acid:water = 1:2

acid = 60

=》water should be 120 liters

initially, water is 30 liters. Therefore 90 liters of water is to be added
