Step-by-step explanation:

total volume of mixture= 30 L

milk : water7 : 3

volume of milk = 7/10×30=21 L

volume of water = 3/10×30=9 L

now,

milk/(water+x)=1/2

21/(9+x)=1/2

42=9+x

x=42-9=33 L answer

Answer:

33l should b added

Step-by-step explanation:

let k be the reqd ratio

therefore milk = 7k ; water = 3k

ATP,

vol of milk + vol. of water = total vol.

=> 7k + 3k = 30 => 10 k = 30 => k = 3

therefore milk = [7(3) ]l = 21 l ; water = [3(3)] l = 9 l

now, let water to b added is x l

therefore , vol milk / vol water = 1:2

=>21 / 9+x = 1/2

=> 21(2) = 9+x

=> 42 -9 = x => x = 33 .

therefore 33 l of water should b added...

verification :::then total amt of water will be ( 33 + 9) l i.e. 42l

now if u compare milk vol / water vol will b

21 l / 42 l which is 1:2 ..therefore the sum is correct
