in a mixure of 550ml the ratio of milk to water is 5:6 what is the quantity of water in the mixure

Let the milk be 5x and water be 6x.

550 = 5x + 6x

11 x = 550

x = 50ml

Water is 6x => 6 × 50ml = 300ml
