In Monohybrid cross

 F1 generation has individuals of same genotype i.e. they all  are hybrid of  pure parents . When these individuals of F1 generation are crossed , they produced  25% of individuals with genotypes similar to  each type of parents  and 50% of individuals have genotypes similar to F1 hybrids.

Therefore , out of total 256 F2 individuals , 50% of them i.e. 128 have genotype similar to F1 generation.
