In a multi storeyed building the water supply on the floor is less than the ground floor . why ?

Water flows on gravity , since the pipe is vertical and straight water flows down and reaches the ground first then the lateral pipe which are connected to 90° to the vertical. If you want to have pressure on higher floor lay a separate pipe from tank to your floor you also get a more pressure than existing system .
