Let the number of 100 rupees gifts be x and the number of 25 rupees gifts be y.

According to the problem :

The total gifts is given 63

x + y = 63 ................................(1)

Total cost is 3000

So:  100 x + 25 y = 3000 ..................(2)

Multiplying the (1) with 25 we get :

==> 25 x + 25 y = 1575 .............................(3)

Subtracting (3) from (2) we get :

==> 75 x = 1425

==> x = 1425 / 75

==> x = 19

Thus there were 19 ...... 100 rupees gifts.

Hope it helps you:-)

Merry Christmas and Happy new year in advance ^_^
