in a parallelogram ABCD, AB=10cm and altitudes corresponding to the sides AB and AD are 7cm and 8cm respectively. Find AD

apply formula for area of llgm and on different bases and altitudes and you will get the answer.

AB = 10 cm

DE = 7 cm

BF = 8 cm

Now the area of parallelogram  = base x corresponding height

AD x BF = AB x DE

AD x 7 =  10 x 9

AD = (10*7) / 9

AD = 70/9

= 7.7 cm
