in a parallelogram ABCD,AB=12CM and altitudes corresponding to sides AB AND AD are respectively 6cm and 8cm. find the length of AD

So, its area =AB x DL = (10 x 6) cm2 = 60cm2. Also in parallelogram ABCD, B M⊥AD. Therefore, Area of parallelogram ABCD= AD x BM. 60 = AD x 8cm.its solve question

AB = 12 cm

DE = 6 cm

BF = 8 cm

Now the area of parallelogram  = base x corresponding height

AD x BF = AB x DE

AD x 6 =  12 x 8

AD = (12*8) / 6

AD = 96/6

= 16 cm
