area of parallelogram = base x height = ad x cf = 80 cm ^2.
when height is taken as bg, the base is ab.
area of parallelogram = base x height = ab x bg
=> base AB = 80 / 12 = 6.67cm.(ANS)

faizaankhanpatp3bt9p: Given ABCD is a parallelogram and AD = 10 cm, CF = 8 cm, BG = 12 cm
Area of parallelogram ABCD = AB ´ CF
= AB ´ 8 → (1)
Also area of parallelogram ABCD = AD ´ BG
= 10 ´ 12 = 120 sq cm → (2)
Equations (1) and (2) represent the same,
Hence AB ´ 8 = 120
∴ AB = 15 cm
faizaankhanpatp3bt9p: this is the right answer

Given
ABCD is a parallelogram and AD = 10 cm, CF = 8 cm, BG = 12 cm
 Area of parallelogram ABCD = AB ´ CF = AB ´ 8 → (1)
Also area of parallelogram ABCD = AD ´ BG  = 10 ´ 12 = 120 sq cm  → (2)Equations
(1) and (2) represent the same,Hence AB ´ 8 = 120
Therefore AB = 15 cm
