In the following question, we are asked to find out the sides of a parallelogram by proving the side ratios.

It could be easily found out by using perimeter formula of parallelogram.

\red\bigstar{\text{\underline{\underline{\: Solution}}}}

Let the sides be 3x and 4x

then, we know :-

\large{\text{Perimeter\:of\: parallelogram=2(length+breadth)}}

42 = 2(3x + 4x)

⇒ 7x = \large{\mathbb{\frac{42}{2}}}

⇒ 7x = 21

x = 3

The sides of the parallelogram are :-

→ 3x = 3×3 = 9 m

4x = 4×3 = 12 m

★ Solution

→ Let the sides = 3x and 4x

we know that :-

Perimeter of parallelogram=2(a+b)

→ 42 = 2(3x + 4x)

7x =  \frac{42}{2}

→ 7x = 21

★ x = 3

★ Answer

The sides of the parallelogram are :

→ 3x = 3x3 = 9 m

→ 4X= 4x3 = 12 m
