If we assume the base as x meter

Then, altitude will be 2x metres.

We know that,

➡ area of a parallelogram = base * height

=> 288 = x*2x

=> 288 = 2x²

=> 288/2 = x²

=> 144 = x²

=> x = √144

=> x = 12cm.

Hence,

Base = x = 12cm

height = 2x = 24cm.
