In a population of 1000 at any place, number of individuals born was 150, death in 1 year is 50. Calculate vital index for that year.​

Answer:

Vital Index= \frac{Natality}{Mortality}*100

Natality= CBR =\frac{Live births}{tatal poulation\\} *1000

                       = (150/1000)*1000

                       =  150 per thousand

Mortality = CDR = \frac{Live deaths}{Totalpopulation}*1000

                         =   (50/1000)*1000

                         = 50 per thousand

Vital Index= (150/50)*100

                 = 300
